Patrick worked in advertising with some of the most globally recognised agencies and brands.  Always fascinated by history, particularly military history, and spurred on by two lockdowns, he took to writing stories.

His debut  WW2 aviation thrillers launched on the 16th December 2022 with ‘The Lightning and The Few,’ the story of Jox McNabb, a Scottish schoolboy who earns his wings defending his country in its hour of need.

Book Two of the series ‘The Raiders and the Cross’ was published on 21st April 2023 and follows Jox’s war through the furnace of the Blitz and the siege of Malta. Book Three ‘The Maple and the Blue’ sees Jox involved with the Dieppe raid and then heading back to the Mediterranean. It was published on the 22nd December 2023.

Book 4 ‘The Vulcan and the Straits’ covers Operation Torch, the invasion of Vichy North Africa and then Operation Husky, the invasion of Sicily. In Book 5 ‘The Wire and the Lines’ Jox is a prisoner of war in Italy and must find a way to rejoin the war, It is  released on the 28th February 2025.

Patrick has also had a paranormal military thriller published, called ‘The Brookwood Boys’ set in a military cemetery in Surrey. It tells the story of’Mouse’ Forsyth who has haunted the grounds for a hundred years until one day he is seen.
