Caroline Lamond

Caroline Lamond

11/02/2024 by Caroline Lamond

Caroline is originally from Yorkshire and spent a year living in Paris before reading PPE at Oxford University. She trained as an actress then fell into a career in finance, going on to write various commercial fiction novels under various pseudonyms. She’s also written comedy for the BBC and Comedy Central.

The Socialites, inspired by the lives of Vivien Leigh, Maureen O’Sullivan and Sonia Orwell, was published by HarperCollins in January 2025. It was a Kindle First Reads pick and Amazon bestseller. Her first historical fiction novel, Well Behaved Women, was based on the real life of silent movie star, Alla Nazimova.

Caroline now lives in London with her husband and two children. When not writing, she’s mostly reading, travelling and aspiring to have a life as interesting as the women she writes about.
