Traitor’s Gate

Traitor’s Gate

Traitor’s Gate

14th April 2015 by Michael Ridpath

Traitor’s Gate is a spy novel set in Berlin in 1938.  Conrad de Lancey, an Englishman who fought against fascism in Spain and lost, travels to Berlin.  When Conrad is arrested by the Gestapo on suspicion of spying, he is rescued by Theo, and old friend from the university, now a lieutenant in the Wehrmacht.  Then they were idealists, believing in peace above all else.  Now, they find themselves on the brink of war against a terrible evil.  Together they are drawn into a world of plots, paranoia and intrigue where the brave few are united by a single ambition: to free the Fatherland of the Fuhrer.
