In 1846 the potato crop in the Highlands of Scotland, ravaged by blight, turned to slime. Thousands, dependent on the crop for survival, faced starvation, eviction and death.  The people of Shiaba, a remote township on the Isleof Mull, were not spared. This is the story of a family torn apart by hunger but, through their courage, resilience and sheer determination, came together again and survived
