Based on a series of interviews with 18 American Jewish veterans of the Vietnam War who settled in Israel, this book focusses both on their experiences in the war, what happened upon their return to the States, and their lives in Israel. Several of the men interviewed later served with the Israeli army in the Lebanon War of 1982 and in the occupied territories.
