The first book to be published by Virago, Fenwomen is a vivid social and oral history of an isolated village in the Cambridgeshire fens. First published in 1975, it is now a classic in the field. It has gone through three editions, with a fourth 50th anniversary celebratory edition to be published by Virago in 2025 as a Virago Modern Classic.
