Simon Turney is a life-long Roman history obsessive and travel and photography nut. His writing career began with novelizing Caesar’s war diaries and has expanded to include Praetorian thrillers, children’s Roman mysteries, late Byzantine/early Ottoman adventure and more. His latest novel, to be published by Orion in March 2018 is a new novelized biography of Caligula, the first in a series on the damned emperors.
Simon lives in rural North Yorkshire with his wife and children and two animals that might loosely be termed ‘dogs’. He can occasionally be found traipsing around in Roman armour and looking put upon at reenactment events.
