By day, Paula is an environmental writer, innovator and campaigner. She cares passionately about the natural world and the biodiversity it contains. She has several non-fiction publications to my name. Her first book, Decommissioning the Brent Spar, a retelling of an extraordinary environmental incident that caused a global furore, was published by Routledge in 1999. Since then she have published several books, research findings & reports. Her first fiction book, Little Brown Dog, will be published by Honno Press in September 2021. Its a abelnding of a series of incredible true events that took place in the first decade of the Twentieth century with a host of fictional characters. Paula enjoys the blending of facts with a fiction that helps bring important stories to a wider audience than the straight non-fiction retelling could ever do.
She is a member of the Society of Authors and has twice spoken at the Hay Festival. She has over twenty years’ experience as a media spokesperson & regularly appear on radio, TV and in print.
