Paul is an author of historical fiction set mainly around the late Anglo-Saxon / early Norman period. He has nurtured a love of all things historical from an early age, which was reflected in his Masters’ degree course in Anglo-Saxon history at the University of Leeds back in the late 1980s.
After a thirty-year career in IT governance with a major financial institution, he finally realised his long-held desire to become an author when his Huscarl Chronicles trilogy was published via Sharpe Books in the last couple of years. Paul’s latest novel – Blood Price – has just been released (also via Sharpe Books). A stand-alone murder mystery novel set in the time of King Knut, it tells the story of one couple’s quest to bring a child-killer to justice.
Paul is married to Julie, with whom he has two children. He lives with his wife in Cheshire.
