Patricia O’Reilly lives in Dublin. She is author of 10 books, fiction and non-fiction. Her current passion is historical fiction. Her HF titles are: w/t: ‘The Interview’ what she imagines happened when Bruce Chatwin was sent by Sunday Times magazine to interview Eileen Gray, Irish architect and designer. He was golden boy of Fleet Street. Then in her 90s, she had fame thrust on her for the second time after her destiny screen was bought by Yves Saint Laurent for a then record breaking figure. ‘A Type of Beauty, the story of Kathleen Newton’, is the story of the Irish girl who was the love of French artist Jacques Tissot’s life. ‘Time & Destiny’ is about Irish designer Eileen Gray and ‘Once Upon a Summer’ is a story of first love set in the summer of 1959. As well as writing books Patricia convenes writing workshops for UCD’s Adult Education Department, runs on-line writing courses – including the popular Writing Historical Fiction and edits the work of emerging writers. She has come the route of freelance print journalism, making radio dcumentaries, writing radio plays, short stories, talks etc. Currently she is absorbed in the concept of e-marketing and is putting up some of her back list.
