Nicola Pryce gave up her nursing career when the urge to write became too strong. She has an Open University degree in Humanities and qualified as a library assistant when her children were young. She has always been drawn to the late eighteenth century and her love of both Cornwall and sailing influences her books. She is a qualified literacy support volunteer and lives in the Blackdown Hills in Somerset.
Her debut novel ‘Pengelly’s Daughter’ was published in July 2016, ‘The Captain’s Girl’ in 2017 with ‘The Cornish Dressmaker’ due out in May 2018. She is published by Corvus Books.
