Nicholas Jubber grew up with a love of history and storytelling, which has taken him on travels around the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Europe. He has written five non-fiction books about travel and history, with themes ranging from the medieval search for Prester John to the secret histories behind beloved fairy tales. He has written for numerous publications, including the Guardian, Spectator, Irish Times and BBC History, and has spoken about his work on Radio 4, Radio 3, and at literary festivals including Hay-on-Wye, Edinburgh and Cheltenham.
