Kirsten Claiden-Yardley is a historian specialising in the 15th and 16th centuries. She has a doctorate in history from Oxford University where she studied the funerals and memorials of the Dukes of Norfolk and their 16th-century, noble contemporaries. Kirsten worked as an assistant church buildings officer for the Diocese of Oxford before co-founding a heritage consultancy firm that works primarily on church development projects. She has also worked as a history consultant for Usborne Books and production researcher on the television adaptation of Wolf Hall and Bringing up the Bodies.
Kirsten’s first book, The Man Behind the Tudors, a biography of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk, will be published by Pen & Sword in January 2020.
