My debut novel The Oceans Between Us, about a mother fighting for her son and a child battling for survival, is published by Headline. It is based on the real life stories of child migrants to Australia, a practice that started in the eighteenth century and finished in the 1960’s. My story starts in world war two and ends in 2010.

A second novel, about a child on the Kindertransport, will come out next year.

I have an M.A in Creative Writing from the University of Chichester. I teach English Literature A Level to college students and live with my family in West Sussex.
