Caligula

Caligula

Caligula

14th April 2015 by Doug Jackson

Caligula is the story of the young animal trainer Rufus, who becomes keeper of the Emperor’s elephant, Bersheba, and battles to survive amidst the plots and intrigue of the psychopathic emperor’s court … Life at court is dictated by Caligula’s ever shifting moods. He can be as generous as he is cruel, as charming as he is poisonous – a megalomaniac who declares himself a living god and simultaneously lives in constant fear of the plots against his life. With his gladiator friend Cupido at his side Rufus finds himself unwittingly placed at the centre of a conspiracy to assassinate the Emperor.
